The Society is going strong with a dozen or so members, working well on Zoom platform during the COVID-19 Pandemic. We are stretched across the globe, but remain strong in community and faith. With peoples from diverse backgrounds, online ritual has allowed us to come together in a time of global crises, to take comfort in each other, share sacred space, and to continue to walk the path of Mother Earth and Father Sky.
We look forward to the waning days of the pandemic, when we shall meet again in person.

TPS Members met in Big Cottonwood Canyon on Saturday, February 2, 2019 to honor the return of the light. Known as Candlemass to the Catholics, This sacred holiday honors the coming light and spring and is ruled over by Brigid in the Celtic pantheon.
The fires were lit, poetry read, and music played. A meditation to Brigid was performed under the music of “Imbolc” by Lisa Thiel on her album Circle of the Seasons. Offerings included wine and chocolate biscotti.

TPS Celebrate the arrival of Yule and its King, the Oak Lord, in Big Cottonwood Canyon Saturday, December 22, 2018. Digging out the snow, the fires were lit and the Lord honored with wine and cakes. The Holly King gave up his seat, and the God was born again of the Goddess after his death at Samhain.

As groups evolve and change, so to do the needs of its members. The starting in 2019 the Salt Lake Pagan Society will move beyond domestic geography to be just “The Pagan Society”, inclusive of people around the world. We are updating names for better privacy on all our old blog posts from the archives. It will take some time to shift the administrative paperwork to a new name, but we will be victorious!
